Professor Mary Edwards researches, among other things, the biogeography, ecology and palaeoecology of northern regions and is currently working on the implications of changes in landscape and vegetation for carbon dynamics.
She previously lived in Alaska and worked at the University of Alaska-Fairbanks. She has also worked on human-landscape interactions in Norway and the UK, and most recently on environmental DNA records from Siberia.
