The NERC Arctic Research Programme has, thanks to its links with the British Antarctic Survey, resources available for use by teachers and students.

Our main schools' resource is the sister website 'Discovering the Arctic', developed in partnership with the Royal Geographical Society and the Foreign and Commonwealth Office Polar Regions Department.

Our scientists and support staff also visit schools to talk about the Arctic, science, and living and working in one of the world's most challenging environments. We will always try our best to accommodate requests we receive for school talks, but cannot guarantee attendance.

For more information about requesting a school talk or about any of our education resources please email: arp@bas.ac.uk
