Dr. Charlotte Marcinko, Post Doctoral Researcher

Dr Marcinko is an early career researcher within the Ocean Biogeochemistry and Ecosystems group at the National Oceanography Centre, Southampton.

Her enthusiasm for oceanography began after studying physics at Lancaster University and completing a Masters degree in oceanography at the University of Southampton.

Dr Marcinko's research encompasses many aspects of ocean biogeochemistry including quantitative analysis of both physical and biological processes in the upper ocean. Much of her work is multidisciplinary and regularly combines biological, chemical and physical oceanographic datasets. She is is currently working on the project Submarine Estimates of Arctic Turbulence Spectra (SEATS) which is part of NERC's Arctic research programme.
